A pool in an Old City setting

Lanna Tree Boutique Hotel puts the swimming pool close to the centre of the accommodation experience. The official room list includes poolside accommodation and rooms with pool views, alongside simpler categories. For a Chiang Mai stay with time between outings, that gives the property a useful point of difference from a guesthouse with only a room and reception.

The hotel is in the Old City area. The sources use different street-address formats, so the exact current entrance should be matched to the booking map rather than inferred from one version of the address. The neighbourhood is a better-established point than a precise walking time to every attraction.

Poolside does not mean equally peaceful

Two Trip.com accounts from 2024 illustrate why room position matters. A solo traveller described a pleasant, uncrowded pool and felt distant enough from nearby nightlife not to hear it. A couple in a Deluxe King Poolside room had a different problem: people passing and talking outside late at night, particularly near a communal seating area.

Those reports concern different sources of noise. A hotel can be sheltered from bars while still having sound travel from its own shared spaces. The poolside room may be convenient for a swim, but that convenience should be weighed against how much activity you want outside the door.

Several ways to sleep here

The official website describes a two-bedroom suite with a separate living area and dining space, as well as single rooms and double or twin options. Its room list also distinguishes poolside rooms from rooms with balconies or views. That makes the layout an important part of the decision, especially for a group who would otherwise compare only the total number of beds.

A room facing the pool and a room directly beside a shared area are not automatically the same experience. The specific guest report about a poolside location is useful because it gives context, rather than treating the whole property as noisy.

Service is a recurring positive

Guest comments from 2026 on Trip.com praise the staff, cleanliness and location. Booking.com's visible guest-review information also includes favourable comments about staff assistance. These separate reports give service a stronger basis than a single enthusiastic description would.

The room choice remains the practical issue. Lanna Tree is appealing if you want an Old City base with a pool and a choice of sleeping arrangements. A light sleeper should give the position relative to the pool and communal seating as much attention as the view. Someone travelling with family may find the suite layout more useful than several beds in one room.

The evidence does not support treating every category as identical or promising the same quietness on every night. What it does show is a property with a clear location-and-pool appeal, where choosing the right room can materially change the stay.
