Good Morning Bungalow: simple rooms above a Koh Jum beach

A hillside stay where the climb and basic fan-cooled accommodation are central to the decision.

The hill is part of the stay

Good Morning Bungalow is set above the beach on Koh Jum, with a hillside location rather than a flat beachfront approach. That elevation can be attractive when the reason for choosing the accommodation is the setting among trees and views toward the water. It also means the route between the bungalow and beach deserves as much attention as the outlook.

The destination accommodation guide describes simple wooden and bamboo bungalows around the Ting Rai area, with a steep path and steps. A guest report from March 2026 independently notes the steep hill. For someone with limited mobility or difficulty on uneven paths, that is a more important consideration than the property's general beach-area label.

A bed, bathroom and fan suited one guest well

Edward's March 2026 account describes a hut with a bed and bathroom, no air conditioning and no fridge. He found the fan sufficient and regarded the simple accommodation as good value for the type of stay he wanted. That is a useful description of his bungalow, not proof that every current room has exactly the same equipment.

The property photographs show a wooden balcony with a table and a view through the trees, alongside a sunset scene. They help explain the appeal of spending time outside the room. They do not support a promise that every bungalow faces the sea or that the walk to the water is easy.

Food praise needs to stay in its period

Older Agoda guest text praises the hosts, basic spacious bungalows and meals. More recent destination information says the former restaurant is no longer operating. Those accounts should not be combined into a present-day promise of food on site; the current dining arrangement remains something the accommodation itself needs to confirm.

Good Morning Bungalow is most convincing for someone who actively wants a basic hillside stay and is comfortable with the climb. It is less suited to a visit built around guaranteed air conditioning, a fridge or level beach access. The setting and simplicity can be positives, provided they match the stay you want rather than amenities you expect by default.

A detailed guest report is dated March 2026. Older food praise conflicts with newer information about the former restaurant, so current dining is not promised.
