A house-style stay in Bangrak
The Gardens in Bangrak offers a different arrangement from booking adjoining hotel rooms. Kalara, the property manager, describes twelve semi-detached, two-storey mews houses around a communal swimming pool inside a landscaped, walled garden. The practical attraction is having bedrooms and everyday living space together, with an outdoor area beside the pool.
That arrangement should appeal to travellers who expect to spend some time at their accommodation between outings. Two bedrooms let companions retreat separately, while a living room and kitchen give everyone a shared base. For a short visit consisting mainly of excursions, the extra domestic space may matter less than the precise location of the places on your itinerary.
Two bedrooms, with living space downstairs
The manager describes each house with a pool-side terrace, living and dining areas, kitchen with oven, and guest toilet. Both bedrooms have their own balcony and en-suite shower room. Air conditioning and a ceiling fan are listed for the living space, and the development has teak stairs and upper floors. Booking.com lists a Deluxe Two-Bedroom Villa at 150 square metres; confirm the dimensions and configuration of the particular unit offered.
The kitchen is useful for breakfasts, snacks or an evening when nobody wants to go out again. Before planning substantial cooking, ask what utensils and groceries will be available on arrival. An oven in the property description establishes a useful facility, but it does not tell you whether your preferred equipment or ingredients will already be there.
The separate sleeping and living areas also require a little thought when travelling with children. Consider where the adults will spend the evening and whether a child who wakes will need to negotiate the stairs. The bedroom arrangement is more consequential than the broad description of the property as a villa.

A shared pool and an optional beach-club connection
The pool is communal, with a children’s section according to Kalara. Houses have private terraces beside it; the private element is the terrace, rather than an exclusive swimming pool. A barbecue area and pool-table sala are shared too. Wi-Fi, parking, security and maid service are listed, although a cleaning schedule is not specified.
Booking.com property notes advertise access to Chi beach club and a complimentary two-way shuttle, along with use of some Chi Samui Resort facilities. Confirm the current arrangement, operating hours and eligible facilities with your reservation. If that connection is central to your plans, establish exactly how it works before choosing the property.
Treat the townhouse and the external club as two separate parts of the decision. The shared garden pool can support a relaxed afternoon at the accommodation; a beach-club visit depends on a further journey and whatever access terms apply during your stay.
What dated guests found useful—and difficult
Derrick’s family review dated 2 January 2026 praised clean, spacious accommodation and helpful staff. Amir, writing on 7 September 2025, also liked the apartment, pool and staff, but found the location less walkable than hoped and the internal stairs steep when travelling with children. Eri’s 5 February 2025 report was more reserved, describing parts that needed renovation and a location that felt distant for their plans.
Those accounts suggest two sensible checks: request current photographs of the offered unit and discuss the stairs directly. A spacious house can still be awkward for somebody who needs an easy route between bedroom and living room. The reviews concern individual visits; they do not establish that every unit has the same maintenance issues.
Choosing it for the right itinerary
The manager places the development on a side road off Bangrak’s main street, close to dining and convenience shopping. Guest impressions of walkability differ, so avoid basing the decision on a general promise that everything is nearby. Compare the address with your intended restaurants, beach visits and departure point, then decide how you will travel after dark.
The strongest reason to choose The Gardens is the combination of two bedrooms, a usable kitchen and shared leisure space. Families and friends who value that arrangement should ask about the exact house, cleaning provision and arrival arrangements. Travellers with mobility limitations should obtain specific answers about steps and bedroom access before committing.
